Habitat loss


The loss and fragmentation of the forest into blocks too small and isolated to adequately conserve populations of many species is a growing threat.

Uncontrolled in-migration, gold mining, agriculture conversion and infrastructure developments all contribute to this habitat loss.

Some of the key causes of habitat loss in the Greater Mekong are:
