Wind energy in Slovakia
The boom in wind energy in Europe in the last years has been welcomed by many local and global environmental organizations and movements. Unfortunately, many projects which are now under development in the Danube-Carpathian region, including in Slovakia, are located in high conflict areas. Good environmental assessments and legislation are needed to limit negative impacts of some renewables.
